The FBFM will operate rain or shine, and at any temperature. In case of severe weather conditions, the decision to cancel the market will be made by 1:30 pm on market days. See the Fort Ben Farmers Market Facebook page for all weather-related updates.

The FBFM is a pet-friendly market. Pets must be leashed by city ordinance. NOTE that these guidelines can change based on direction from the MCPHD.

There is plenty of parking in the surrounding lots making the market a convenient place to shop. The lot north of the Cultural Campus is closed for Farmer's Market parking, as well as vendor unloading.

The Fort Ben Farmers Market is happy to be a SNAP-approved market!

SNAP and Fresh Bucks are available for customers with a Hoosier Works card or SNAP EBT card.

Look for the Market Tent and staff will be able to assist you and complete your transaction. Please come to the booth with your SNAP card readily available and knowledge of the PIN. You will receive tokens = $1 each that can be used only at the FBFM.

Items that can be purchased with SNAP benefits include bread and cereals, fruits and vegetables, meats, fish and poultry, dairy products, and seeds and plants. Tokens act like cash at the Market and can be used to shop for any SNAP-eligible items. The best part is, they never expire! You can use leftover tokens on your next visit!

Fresh Bucks can be used to purchase fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices, tree nuts, and seedlings for edible plants. You can use your Freshbucks card at any of the participating markets.

SNAP covers the main food items found at a farmers market and can be spent on fruits, vegetables, honey, herbs and spices, bread, meats, cheeses, maple syrup, and seedlings. Freshbucks is a matching program that can be redeemed up to $20 and can only be spent on produce i.e. fruits and vegetables. Fresh Bucks can be spent at any participating farmers’ market.
