As Lawrence’s largest city park, Lawrence Community Park is a vibrant hub for outdoor activities, featuring 21 soccer fields and hosting events like the Red Lion Invitational with FC Pride. Alongside the Lawrence Skate Park and the Lawrence Community Activities Center, the park offers baseball fields, playgrounds, shelters, a sledding hill, and paved walking trails perfect for leisurely strolls.
Recently, the Parks Department added brand-new exercise equipment along the paths, allowing visitors to take their workouts outdoors and enjoy the fresh air while staying fit. Families love spending time here, whether playing recreational sports, picnicking, or simply enjoying the welcoming atmosphere. In winter, the sledding hill is a local favorite, and the community center serves as an ideal venue for special events.
