There is no entrance fee for the Winterfest. Fees are incurred if you choose to purchase items from vendors. There is a nominal fee for ice skating sessions and skate rental.

What are the prices for skating at the rink?
The cost to skate is $10 for adults and $5 for children. This includes ice time and skate rental.
May I bring my own ice skates to the rink?
Yes, you can bring your own skates! You will still need to purchase your time on the ice and can do so at the hut located next to the rink.
Is the skating rink available for rentals?
Private rentals are available. Please see available dates and rates by clicking here.
Is the skating rink real ice?
The 60 x 80 foot rink is made from a special synthetic material that recreates the glide of natural ice.
What about Weather?
Winterfest is an all-weather event and is open rain or shine! Live performance will be canceled if winds exceed high miles per hour. All other festivities will only shut down in the event of severe weather as instructed by the national weather service. Information about closure will be communication on the Home page of our website and City of Lawrence social media outlets.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Only credit or debit cards are accepted as payment at the skating rink. Each vendor has their own policy for accepted forms of payment.
Is smoking permitted at Winterfest?
Tobacco products are not permissible while on the Market premises (up to and including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vape pens and pipes).
